Cindy Sherman (née Gelfand) was a force of nature. She brought boundless energy and unwavering dedication to everything she pursued, giving of herself wholeheartedly and without reservation.
Her greatest joy was always the people in her life. Whether staying active, spending time with family and friends, or simply sharing a laugh, Cindy had a gift for making every moment meaningful. Her humor was sharp and unfiltered, her generosity limitless, and her ability to connect with others truly extraordinary.
After being diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in 2023, Cindy faced her illness with remarkable strength and courage. In September 2025, the cancer metastasized to her liver and bone marrow. Through it all, she continued to inspire those around her with her resilience, spirit, and love.
